|| Oṃ, namaḥ, sarva buddha bodhisattvebhyaḥ ||

Of Dharma Instructions, Upon Avarice and Negation

Kārikā Prathamā

Of Dharma Instructions, Upon Avarice and Negation

For those living ones, who had been enjoying also, the insightful means, ˰

of the delighted mind, ˰

for those austerity grasping, without vigour. ¦

·

From these truths, for the distressed ones, ˰

always, they flow downward, ˰

with elevated generosity efforts. |

·

First, in this way, for the lofty dharma, ˰

for a shining ray of light, repeatedly, ˰

in every manner, tis like that, of these sentient living beings. ¦

·

In austerity not, most certainly, tis for taking on, ˰

to a high degree, with these downward flowing ones, ˰

to happiness going, and to being immortal also. || 12.1 ||


With These Dharmas, Upon A Purpose With Meaning

Kārikā Dvitīyā

With These Dharmas, Upon A Purpose With Meaning

The dharma, tis not in this way, also teaching the venerable Buddha; ˰

within every ātman, so taught, t'was restrained. ¦

Dragging mankind, and with those so enjoined being without benifit; ˰

with these dharmas, tis for one's own self righteousness. |

In a self quiescent complete envelope, in virtue an ever more respectable person, ˰

in bearing, so then, in imperishable essence; ¦

with persuasion, like that, the compassion, with these ātmans, in sooth, with these goat swallowing serpents ˰

so resembling, tis fully accomplished. || 12.2 ||


Kārikā Tṛtīyā

With These Dharmas, Upon A Purpose With Meaning (2)

From that!, not in this way, without a method doth it exist; ˰ which is the contemplation, of yogins. ¦

From that!, not in this way, without a method doth it exists; ˰ which is teaching one going to bliss. |

The imagined method, from hearing solely, if might exist; ˰ perhaps, is contemplation a useless method. ¦

Having not heard, if to contemplation, might follow; ˰ perhaps, is the teaching a useless method. || 12.3 ||


Instruction, Within Separation

Kārikā Caturthā

Instruction, Within Separation

From doctrine, from obtaining knowledge, ¦¦

from awakened buddha nature, of teaching these foremost truths, |

from the mouth, from the body, from every ¦¦

formless luminous realm, (tis) high performance, thereto, [. .. .] || 12.4 ||


Upon Teaching Turning Out Well

Kārikā Pañcamā

Upon Teaching Turning Out Well, Two Śloka

The spotless pure, – doubt forsake –, ¦¦

shall be illumined; Tattva to reveal, the two ways. |

Most excellent, – shall be pointed out –, ¦¦

for shall be increased the wisdom, of these Bodhisattvas. || 12.5 ||


Kārikā Ṣaṣṭhā

Upon Teaching Turning Out Well (2)

Delightful, the conceit transcended, ¦¦

not also, is being weary, of teaching highest realities. |

Had blossomed, most wonderful enjoined, on a journey, ¦¦

being desireless, all pervading also, t'was like that. || 12.6 ||


Upon Speech Turning Out Well

Upon Speech Turning Out Well

Undistressed, delightful, eloquently well spoken, ¦

respectful, pure, tis that manner. |

[Whereof, the revered non craving, and in this way, ¦

a moderate abiding, tis that manner.] || 12.7 ||


Upon Emanating Turning Out Well

Kārikā Aṣṭamā

Upon Emanating Turning Out Well (1)

For these elucidations, from pointing out, ¦¦

tis that manner, just so, from the way of being conformable, from being comfortable. |

From a comfort, whereof, for these revered ones, ¦¦

tis from emancipation, from a flowing gracefulness. || 12.8 ||


Kārikā Navamā

Upon Emanating Turning Out Well (2)

The emanating existence, and the desire to obtain, ¦¦

shall increase wisdom, in every manner, of these foremost sentient beings. |

The sixty expedients, with being thoughtless, ¦¦

tis a procalmation unending, indeed, of those well departed. || 12.9 ||

Instruction, Upon The Nature Of A Grand Being (1)

The holy word, with these foundations, tis with these well combined. ¦¦

Refering back to a distinction of uncertainty, tis with divisions. |

Very much, tis an effort going along, ¦¦

truely, in these great efforts clearly understanding sacred wisdom. || 12.10 ||


Kārikā Ekādaśā

Instruction, Upon The Nature of A Grand Being (2)

Purification, by the three maṇḍala circles, encouraging, ¦¦

this, is a revealation, indeed, [..] of the buddhas. |

With faults, the averting, again, ¦¦

with the eight, this, just so, shall increase wisdom. || 12.11 ||


Kārikā Dvādaśā

Instruction, Upon The Nature of A Grand Being (3)

Spiritual sloth, tis a failing to minimally understand; ¦¦

indeed, of the opportunity, is a strong effort, verily, towards bewilderment. |

Of doubtful uncertainty, is the non·termination; ¦¦

thus so, of the cessation, tis inconsistent, for producing. || 12.12 ||


Kārikā Trayodaśā

Instruction, Upon The Nature of A Grand Being (4)

The weariness, moreover, tis mine, unto a fluidity. ¦¦

The defilement, indeed, these are perceived, in speech, most assuredly. |

So also, from the non·existence, of these Buddhas, ¦¦

the unsurpassed teaching, exists. || 12.13 ||


Upon The Path Turning Out Well

Upon The Path Turning Out Well (1)

The auspicious dharma, this, ¦¦

tis from the causality, of devotion and contentment impressions. |

The two fold path, well grasped, ¦¦

tis a four way pious living speaker. || 12.14 ||


Kārikā Pañcadaśā

Upon The Path Turning Out Well (2)

With these on highest ones, the letting go of yoga solely, ¦

tis for the triple realm kleśa's abandonment completing. |

For by self nature purifying, tis the impurity purified; and that, ¦

for the four attributes of very pious living, tis sought after. || 12.15 ||


Upon The Construct In Separation

Kārikā Ṣoḍaśā

Upon The Construct In Separation (1)

The descending incarnation's binding union, also ¦

the binding, from attribute, tis none higher. |

The obstacle's binding construct, also ¦

the union, tis bent down, thereto. || 12.16 ||


Kārikā Saptadaśā

Upon The Construct In Separation (2)

Upon the hearing, in they whom, are in their self nature, ¦

of these faults; tis in the vows of discipline, that manner so. |

Of speaking, in a profound depth, ¦

the connection, this, tis the caturvidha. || 12.17 ||


Upon the Intent's Deconstruction

Kārikā Aṣṭādaśā

Upon the Intent's Deconstruction

The equanimity, in the method's interior, shall be known, ¦

that manner, in time's interior, moreover. |

Of the pudgala, tis in the lasting impression also; like that, ¦

the intent, is the caturvidha. || 12.18 ||


Upon the Buddha, Upon the Dharma, Disrepect

Kārikā Navadaśā

Upon The Buddha, Upon the Dharma, Disrespect, Thus so, Five Verses

In the buddha, in the dharma, is low regard, ¦¦

for spiritual sloth; a contentment, with small foundation. |

In passion, in arrogance, is the deed; ¦¦

for remorse also, an uncertain distinction. || 12.19 ||


Kārikā Viṃśā

Upon The Buddha, Upon the Dharma, Disrespect (2)

Of these sentient beings, for obstruction, ¦¦

that, the obstacle, for these highest points, tis incomplete speech. |

Every hindrance fault ¦¦

mental cessation, for this, thence, exists. || 12.20 ||


Kārikā Ekaviṃśā

Upon The Buddha, Upon the Dharma, Disrespect (3)

He whom, is from a binding together skillful means, or ¦¦

in a song of unified mindfulness, ought be joined with. |

He, verily, for a tenth stage person's blessing, ¦¦

grasps, the sentient one on highest, a being of wisdom. || 12.21 ||


Kārikā Dvāviṃśā

Upon The Buddha, Upon the Dharma, Disrespect (4)

Tis for the whole, and for the root blossoming out, ¦¦

for joyfulness, and most highly, in the dying time. |

Tis for the living existence also, which manner, for the desire. ¦¦

Tis for the state of existence's remembrance also, by all means. || 12.22 ||


Kārikā Trayoviṃśā

Upon The Buddha, Upon the Dharma, Disrespect (5)

With these awakened ones, also is complete attention. ¦¦

For them, the listener, so, is for the foremost points, of that. |

For confidence, tis together with a discerning intellect. ¦¦

Tis for a dual first principal, quickly, to awakened consciousness, also. || 12.23 ||


Kārikā Caturviṃśā

Like that, a well going happiness, having enthusiasm, compassionate, ¦¦

increasing graciousness, for a good way of knowledge, being endowed with, |

doth exist the one who narrates well; verily, the Bodhisattva ¦¦

burns with intense effort, upon the living one, with these teachings; in that manner, like the solar deity Surya. || 12.24 ||
