for those the kṛcchra̩ labdha̍’ng, a̩sāra̍. ¦

From these satva̩’s, for these duḥkha̩’d, ˰

alwa̍ys, they ava̩sṛja̍nti, ˰

with these ucca̩ dāna̍ pra̩kāra̍’s. |

Fi̩rst, in thi̎s way, for the u̍dāra̩ dharma̍, ˰

for (a) hita̩’ng kara̍; re̩peate̍dly, ˰

in eve̩ry manne̍r, (tis) li̩ke tha̍t, of these pra̩jā’s. ¦

·

In kṛcchra̍ no͈t, most ce̍rtainly, (tis) for u̍pa̩̩labdha̍’ng, ˰

to a hi̍gh degre̍e, with these ava̩sṛja̍t’s, ˰

to vṛddhi̩ ga̍’ng, a̩nd to a̩vyaya̍ also̩. || 12.1 ||

The dharma̍, (tis) no̩t in thi̍s way, also̩ deśi̍ta̩’ng the bhaga̍va̩tā; ˰

within every pra̍tyātma̩, (so) vedya̍’d, t’was yata̩’ed. ¦

Ā̩kṛṣṭā̍’ng jana̩tā̍, a̩nd with those yukta̍’d being vi̩hita̍; ˰

with these dharma̍’s, (tis) for one’s o̩wn se̍lf dharma̩tā̍. |

In (a) sva̩śānty ā̍sya̩ puṭa̍, in (a) vi̩śuddhi̍ vi̩pula̍, ˰

in sā̩dhāra̍ṇa, so the̩n, in a̩kṣaya̍; ¦

with lāla̍, like tha̩t, the kṛpā̩, with these ā̩tma̍n’s, in sooth, with these aja̩·gara̍’s˰

pra̩khya̍’ng, (tis) sa̩mā̍pādi̩tā̍’d. || 12.2 ||

From tha̩t, no̎t in this way, ni̩rarthi̍kā̩, bha̍va̩ti’s she̩, ˰ whi̩ch (is) the bhāva̍nā̩, of yogi̍n’s. ¦

From tha̩t, no̎t in this way, ni̩rarthi̍ka̩, bha̍va̩ti’s she̩, ˰ whi̩ch (is) deśa̍nā̩’ng the sauga̍tī. |

The dṛṣṭa̩ artha̍, from śruta̩’ng mātra̍ka, i̩f, might bha̍vet, ˰ perha̩ps, (is) the bhāva̍nā̩ a̩pārthi̍kā. ¦

Having a̩śrutvā̍’d, i̩f, for bhāva̍nā, might anu̩viśe̍t, ˰ perha̩ps, (is) the deśa̍nā̩ a̩pārthi̍kā. || 12.3 ||

From ā̩gama̍, from adhi̩gama̍, ¦¦

from vi̩bhutva̍, of deśa̩na̍’ng these a̍gra̩’st satva̍’s, |

from the mukha̍, from the rūpa̍, from sarva̩ ¦¦

ā̩kāśa̍, (tis) u̩ccara̍ṇatā̩, thereto̍, [. .. .] || 12.4 ||

The viṣa̍dā, – sa̩mdeha̍ ja̩hā̎ –, ¦¦

shall be ā̩deyā̍’d; the tattva̩ darśi̍kā, dvi̩vidhā̍. |

Sa̩mpanna̍’d, – shall be deśa̍na̩’d–, ¦¦

for shall be vi̩jñeya̍’d, of these bodhi̩sattva̍’s. ||’ 12.5 ||

Madhu̍rā̩, the mada̍ vya̩petā̍’d, ¦¦

no̍t also̩, (is being) khinnā̍, of deśa̍na̩’ng a̩gra̍’st sa̩ttvā̍’s. |

Had sphuṭa̍’d, most citra̩ yukta̍’d, (on a) gami̩kā̍, ¦¦

being nirā̩miṣā̍, sarva̩gā̍’ng also̩, (t’was) li̩ke tha̍t. || 12.6 ||

A̩dīnā̍, madhu̩rā̍, sūktā̍ ¦

pratī̩tā̍, vi̩ṣadā̍, (tis) tha̩t ma̍nner. |

[Whe̩reo̍f, the arha̍’d anā̩miṣā̍’ng, a̩nd in thi̍s way, ¦

[a] pa̩ri̍mitā̩ kṣayā̍’ng, (tis) tha̩t manne̍r.] || 12.7 ||

For these u̩ddeśā̍’s, from ni̩rdeśa̍’ng, ¦¦

tis tha̍t manner, just so̩, from the yāna̍ (of) being a̍nu̩loma̍na, from being ślā̩kṣṇya̍. |

From (a) pra̩tītya̍, whereo̩f, for these a̩rha̍’s, ¦¦

(tis) from nai̩ryāṇya̍, from (an) ānu̩kūlya̍tva. || 12.8 ||

The vyañja̍na’ng sa̩mpa̍d, a̩nd the eṣā̍, ¦¦

shall vi̩jñeyā̍, in eve̩ry ma̍nner, of these a̍gra̩’st sattva̍’s. |

The ṣa̩ṣṭyaṅgī̍, with being sā̩cintyā̍, ¦¦

tis (a) ghoṣa̍ ana̩nta̍’ng, inde̩ed, of those su̩gata̍’s. || 12.9 ||

The vācā̍, with these pada̍’s, (tis) with these su̩yukta̍’d. ¦¦

Anu̩deśa̍ vi̩bhāga̍ sa̩ṃśa̍ya, (tis) with che̩da̍’s. |

Bahu̍lī̩, (tis a) kāra̍ a̍nu̩gatā̍’ng, ¦¦

truely, in these u̩dghaṭi̍ta’s vi̩pañci̍ta̩’ng jña̍. || 12.10 ||

The śuddhā̍, by the tri̩maṇḍa̍le̩na, hita̍’ng, ¦¦

thi͈s, (is a) deśa̍nā, inde̩ed, [..] of these buddhā̍nāṃ. |

By these doṣa̍ir, the vi̩varji̍tā’ng, aga̩in, ¦¦

with these aṣṭā̍bhir, thi͈s, just so̍, shall vi̩jñeyā̍. || 12.11 ||

Kau̩śīdya̍, a̩na̍va̩bodha̍, ¦¦

indeed, of the ava̩kāśa̍, the ā̩kṛti̍, verily, (tis) for a̩nīta̍tva. |

Of sa̩ndeha̍, the a̩ccheda̍; ¦¦

thus so, of vi̩gama̍, (tis) the a̩dṛḍhī̍, for kara̩ṇa̍. || 12.12 ||

The kheda̍, moreover, (tis) mi̩ne, unto (a) sari̍tva. ¦¦

The doṣā̍, indeed, the̩se (are) matā̍’d, in kathā̍, assu̩redly. |

So a̍lso, from the a̩bhāva̍, of these buddha̍’s, ¦¦

the ni̩ru̍ttarā̩’d deśa̍nā̩, bha̍va̩ti’s. || 12.13 ||

The kalyā̍ṇa̩ dharma̍, thi͈s, ¦¦

(tis) from the hetu̍tva̩, of bhakti̍ (and) tuṣṭi̩ buddhi̍’s. |

The dvi̍·vidha̩ a̩rtha̍, su̩grāhya̍’d, ¦¦

(tis a) catu̍r guṇa̩ brahma̍carya̩’ng vada̍. || 12.14 ||

With these para̍’s, the asā̩dhāra̍ṇa yoga̩ keva̍la, ¦

tis for the tri̩dhātu̍ka̩ kleśa̍’s vi̩hāni̍ pūra̩ka̍’ng. |

For sva̍bhāva̩ śuddha̍’ng, (tis) the mala̩ śuddhi̍ta’d; a̩nd tha̎t, ¦

for the catu̍rguṇa̩ brahma̍ vi̩carya̍’ng, (tis) iṣya̍te̩’d. || 12.15 ||

The ava̩tāra̍ṇa sa̩ndhi̍, also̩ ¦

the sa̩ndhi̍, from lakṣa̩ṇa̍, (tis) apa̩ra̍. |

The prati̩pakṣa̍’s a̍bhisa̩ndhi̍, also ¦

the sa̩ndhi̍, (tis) pari̩ṇatā̍’d, the̩reto̍. || 12.16 ||

Upon the śrāva̩’ng, in they who̍m, (are) in their sva̩bhāva̍, ¦

of these doṣa̍’s; (tis) in vi̩naya̍, that manne̩r so. |

Of abhi̩dhāna̍’ng, in gāmbhī̩rya̍, ¦

the sa̩ndhi̍, thi͈s, (tis) the catu̍rvi̩dha̍. || 12.17 ||

The sama̍tā, in the artha̩ a̩nta̍ra̩, shall be jñeya̍’d, ¦

tha̩t manne̍r, in the kāla̩ a̩ntara̍, mo̩reo̍ver. |

Of the pu̩dgala̍, in the aśa̍ya also̩; like tha̍t, ¦

the a̩bhi̍prā̩ya̍, is the catu̍rvi̩dha̍. || 12.18 ||

In the buddha̍, in the dharma̍, (is) ava̩jñā̍, ¦¦

for kau̩śīdya̍; (a) tuṣṭi̍, with alpa̩ mātra̍. |

In rāga̍, in māna̍, (is) the cari̩ta̍; ¦¦

for kau̩kṛtya̍ also̩, (an) a̩ni̍yata̩ bheda̍. || 12.19 ||

Of these sattva̍’s, for ā̩vara̍ṇa, ¦¦

tha̩t, the pra̍ti̩pakṣa̍, for these agra̩ya̍’s, tis asa̩mbhāṣā̍. |

Sarva̩ a̩ntarā̍ya̩ doṣa̍ ¦¦

pra̩hāṇa̍, for thi̩s, the̍nce, bha̩va̍ti’s. || 12.20 ||

He who̩m, (is) from (a) grantha̍ artha̍, o̩r ¦¦

in (a) gātha̍ (of) a̍dvaya̩’d dhāra̍ṇa, ought be pra̩yujye̍ta’d. |

He̍, veri̩ly, for (a) daśa̍·vi̩dha̍ manu̩’s śaṃsa̍’ng, ¦¦

la̍bha̩te̍’s, the sattva̩ u̩ttama̍’st, (a) dhī̩ma̍t. || 12.21 ||

(Tis) for the kṛtsnā̍, and for the dhātu̩ puṣṭi̍’ng, ¦¦

for prā̩modya̍, a̩nd mo̩st hi̍ghly, in the mara̍ṇa̩’ng kāla̍. |

(Tis) for the janma̍ also̩, which manne̍r, for the a̍bhi̩kāma̍. ¦¦

(Tis) for the jāti̍’s smara̩tā̍ also̩, by a̍ll mea̩ns. || 12.22 ||

With these buddha̍’s, also̩ (is) the sa̍mava̩dhāna̍. ¦¦

For the̩m, the śrava̍ṇa, so̩, (is) for the agra̍ya’st, of tha̩t. |

For a̍dhi̩mukti̍, (tis) toge̩ther with buddhi̍. ¦¦

(Tis) for (a) dvaya̩ mukha̍, qui̩ckly, to bodhi̍, also̩. || 12.23 ||

Like tha̎t, the su̩gati̍, having a̩kheda̍, kṛpā̩lu̍, ¦¦

the prathi̍ta̩’ng yaśa̍, for su̩vidhi̍ jñatā̍, u̩peta̍’d, |

doth bha̍va̩ti the su̩kathi̍ka; veri̩ly, the bodhi̩sattva̍ ¦¦

ta̍pa̩ti’s, upon the jana̍, with these kathi̩ta̍’s; su̩ch ma̍nner li̩ke, sūrya̍. || 12.24 ||
